Work Boot Features Used to Support Plantar Fasciitis
The plantar fascia runs along the sole from the heel towards the ball of the foot. When the arch lowers and the foot rolls inward, that ligament is placed under greater strain.
Raising the Arch
The built-in orthotic insole supports beneath the arch and limits excessive inward rolling. By reducing how far the arch collapses under load, the insole aims to reduce tension through the plantar fascia.
Controlling the Boot Structure
A shank and stiff board help the boot resist twisting through the middle and keep its main bend at the forefoot. These structural features work alongside the insole rather than asking the orthotic to control all movement by itself.
Using a Custom Orthotic
The supplied insole can be removed when additional correction is required. This leaves room for a custom orthotic while retaining the boot’s shank, controlled flex and resistance to twisting.
